Chocolate Mousse for Halloween
Halloween is about to come so we bring you a recipe that can be adapted to this party by decorating our dessert a bit. A chocolate mousse!
This dessert is made of dark chocolate and extra virgin olive oil, something that almost everyone likes and also very healthy.
With this recipe you get about 6 cups or bowls of chocolate mousse with extra virgin olive oil.
Ingredients:
* For the chocolate mousse:
• 4 eggs
• 170 grs dark chocolate (at least 85% or fondant)
• 90 ml Classic Extra Virgin Olive Oil Interoleo
• ½ teaspoon Salt
• 56 grs Brown sugar
• ½ tablespoons cocoa powder
* To decorate and make our chocolate mousse become a terrifying grave:
• 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
• 2 - 3 ounces dark chocolate
• 6 rectangular cookies that will serve as a tombstone
• Chocolate or caramel syrup (the one you like)
Dessert preparation:
Chop the dark chocolate and place it in a microwave-safe bowl, add a little water, put it in the microwave to melt it little by little, do short intervals of time and stir each time so that it does not burn. When the chocolate is melted add the extra classic virgin olive oil and stir while the chocolate is still hot so that it is well dissolved. Cover the bowl so you don't lose all the heat.
Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks, first we are going to mount the egg whites until stiff, add a bit of salt to help assemble them, you have to beat well until you have firm peaks. Reserve for later.
Beat the yolks with the sugar and salt, you have to beat them until they bleach and it is thick. Add the melted chocolate with extra virgin olive oil and half a tablespoon of cocoa powder. Stir until completely integrated into the mixture.
Go incorporating the whipped whites into the previous mixture, do it little by little, better if you use a silicone spatula and make enveloping movements to mix the two mixtures well, it will be ready when there is no liquid left in the bottom of the container.
Distribute the mixture obtained in the 6 cups or bowls, make it up to a little more than half to have room for decoration. Let it cool.
You can let it cool completely in the fridge for about 4 hours and then decorate, or wait about 30 minutes, decorate and let it cool in the fridge the rest of the time.
To decorate the mousse, grate the chocolate and add the cocoa, if you want you can slightly sweeten the mixture with brown sugar.
Put this mixture on top of the chocolate mousse, and as a grave, put the rectangular cookies, one in each container, you can write RIP or DEP with the chocolate or caramel syrup, so it will be funnier.
We hope you like it. Happy Halloween
